Emil was born on September 6, 1966 in the village of R & # 259; chi & # 355; ele, Cluj County. He - the youngest child of John and Ana Boc. Emil - one of the five large family of children. He married his wife, Ohana - a lecturer at the university. They have two daughters, Patricia and Cesar.
In 2003, Bock was elected acting president of the Democratic Party. His candidacy offered Traian Basescu.
In 2004, Emil won the election for mayor of Cluj-Napoca. His opponent was George Funari, who held the post for twelve years. Bock also beat John Roos, the candidate of the Social demokraticheskoypartii. After earning 76.2% of the vote, Emil Boc becomes mayor of the largest city in Transylvania. When in 2008 the crisis broke, Cluj-Napoca was one of the most firmly standing on their feet cities.
After the 2008 elections the Liberal Democratic and Social Democratic Party joined forces to form a government. Initially, Trajan appointed Prime Minister Theodore Stoloyana. But later, December 15, Prime Minister Emil Boc was appointed. Parliament approved his nomination and December 22, 2008 Emil Boc holds the post of Prime Minister of Romania.
