Rudolf Kuld was born March 20, 1935. In 1957 he graduated from the Leningrad Theatre Institute. AN Ostrovsky (studio BV Zone). After years of study in 1957-1959 he played in the Russian Drama Theatre in Tallinn. In Tallinn for two seasons he played twelve roles, among which Slava ( "Five Evenings" A. Volodin), Bob ( "squaring the circle" V.Kataev), Nicholas ( "Finding Joy" V.Rozova) Curve Zob ( " At the bottom of "Gorky), and others.

In 1959 goduRudolf Kuld was invited to the Leningrad Academic Drama Theatre. Pushkin (Alexandrinsky Theatre), where he worked until his death. In 1960 among his roles have been like Vainonen ( "Optimistic Tragedy" Sun Vishnevsky, 1961), Lialin ( "Friends and Years" L.Zorina, 1961), De Brizard ( "Running" M. Bulgakov, 1962) Albert ( "Little tragedies" Pushkin, 1962), Egmont ( "Before sunset" G.Gauptmana, 1963), Jacob ( "Wild captain" Yu.Smuula, 1965), Kondratyuk ( "serious accusations" L.Sheynina, 1966), Shubin and Guillaume ( "Life of Saint-Exupery`s" L.Malyugina, 1966), Conrad ( "Much Ado About nothing" by William Shakespeare, 1968) and many others.

In 1970-1980-ies as a mature actor Rudolf Kuld successfully played such big role as Rembrandt ( "Rembrandt" D.Kedrina, 1977), Buslov ( "Untilovsk" Leonov, 1978), NAROKOV ( "Talents and Admirers" Ostrovsky, 1982), Khlopusha ( "The Captain`s daughter" by A. Pushkin, 1984), Barclay de Tolly ( "Field Marshal Kutuzov" Soloviev, 1985). Especially acting success of this period was his role in the play Beland "A Melody for a peacock" O.Zagradnika (1978), where he played in a duo with Alexander Borisov.

Over 50 years of experience in Aleksandinskom theater (from 1959 to 2012) Rudolf Kuld played about a hundred roles.

He died January 19, 2012.
