Roscoe Arbuckle was born March 24, 1887 in Kansas. He played on the stage 15 years. Acting career began at the studio "Selig Polyscope Company", and later moved to the "Keystone Studios" Mack Sanneta where filmed with Harold Lloyd and Mabel Normand. Thick, but surprisingly agile, Roscoe was given the nickname Fatty (" Fat Man ", " bold ") . He quickly mastered the comedy. He acted in 29 films in 1913 and 46 in 1914. Not being able to then appear on the screen, Roscoe Arbuckle continued to make films as a director under the pseudonym William Goodrich (Eng. William Goodrich). In 1932, when, at last ,a ban on the demonstration of films with his participation was withdrawn, he reappeared on the screen in the sound of six successful short films, shot for "Warner Brothers" company. June 29, 1933 Roscoe Arbuckle signed a new contract with "Warner Brothers" on shooting a feature film. That day, he called journalists the happiest day of his life ,but he died that same night of a heart attack at the age of 46 years
