American supergroup formed in 1995 by members of group Guns N` Roses, Sex Pistols, and Duran Duran.
March 10, 1995 in Las VegasVegas- Club "The Joint" concert took place Wayne Neutron, performed cover versions of songs by various rock bands. The backbone of the team were future members of Neurotic Outsiders drummer Matt Sorum and bassist Duff McKagan (both - Guns N` Roses), and guitarist Eric Mesmerayz Iggy Pop and Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens. During the concert, the group joined other musicians, and in particular during the performance of the songs "Black Leather", "Raw Power" and "I Wanna Be Your Dog" on stage as a singer and guitarist left Steve Jones (ex -Sex Pistols). In June of the same year under the name Neurotic Boy Outsiders (others used in the early performance of the team name - Kings of Chaos) group participates in a charity concert at the LA club "The Viper Room". Apart from Sorum, and McKagan Jones as the fourth member of the team is invited bassist John Taylor, Duran Duran, in 1980-x already taken part in another supergroup - The Power Station. It was planned that Neurotic Boy Outsiders come together only for one performance, but after a concert in "The Viper Room" group continued to work together.
Concerts and recording an albumThe first full-fledged speech Neurotic Outsiders made on 28 June 1995 at the same club "The Viper Room". Until October this hall became the main platform for the group. Early repertoire consisted of cover versions of songs Sex Pistols, The Stooges, The Damned, The Clash et al.and speeches by members of the band often joined by other musicians, such as Brian Setzer, Billy Idol, Slash and Simon Le Bon of the same Guns N` Roses and Duran Duran. Since the end of 1995 Neurotic Outsiders concerts traditionally began with the song Duran Duran "Planet Earth".Beginning in 1996 took place in a brief tour at the C

The first and only album under the same name Neurotic Outsiders came to the Madonna owned label Maverick Records September 10, 1996. the album was produced by Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads),known for his studio work with the Violent Femmes, Crash Test Dummies, No Doubt, and others. The track listing for the album consisted of 11 songs and a cover version of The Clash "Janie Jones". The author of most of the songs became Steve Jones. The musical material presented a mix elements of punk, hard rock and alternative music.
Decay and ReunionAfter the release of the album was followed by a short tour of the US and Europe, after which the group has entered into a long period of inactivity. In early 1997, rumors have spread that the band broke up, and Jones joined Guns N` Roses. Rumors about Guns N` Roses were refuted, but the summer of 1998 the official representatives of Jones confirmedNeurotic Outsiders that actually ceased to exist. Sorum later returned to The Cult, where he played before Guns N` Roses, and Taylor - in Duran Duran. McKagan first revived its old project 10 Minute Warning, and then started his solo career.
