Killing Is My Business. .. And Business Is Good

In early 1985, the group received $ 8 ,000 by Combat Records to record and release their debut album. However, after they have spent half of that amount on drugs and alcohol, the band were forced to fire his producer and engage the release of the album on their own. Despite this, the album Killing Is My Business. .. And Business Is Good !, released May 1985 ,It was well received and was a mixture of thrash metal, speed metal and punk rock.

During the recording of the album Marty found that in the group rhythmic MEGADETH both parties are exactly the same, in contrast to when a guitarist plays a high inversion of the chord, which is parallel to the other plays. Initially Friedman thought it was some kind of freak ,but when he tried to play it together with Dave Mustaine, I realized how powerful is starting to sound a general rhythm part.

Peace Sells. .. But Who`s Buying?

The second album of Megadeth, finished in March 1986, again received from Combat Records modest budget. In addition, the group was dissatisfied with the result of the recording mix.
