The aspiring actress was born on December 11, 1924 in Stockholm, Sweden, and studied at the Drama School of Excellence at the Royal Dramatic Theatre. Her film career did not start too well with the romantic drama `If I married svyaschennika` (T & # 228; nk, om jag gifter mig med pr & # 228; sten) 1941 with Viveca Lindfors in the title role, which Nilsson played one of the schoolgirls, young wards character Lindfors. The actress married twice. Her first marriage to actor, singer and composer Anders Borje lasted less than four years, from 1945 to 1949 the first, but the second, with writer and theater director Per Gerdhardom for whom Nilsson came out in 1951, was very happy and went until her death. Later, Maj-Britt Nilsson left the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm and moved theater `Vaza` (on behalf of the Swedish royal family), where, together with her husband has worked for thirty years. One of her most famous role was the role of Maggie in the Swedish adaptation of the play of the American playwright Tennessee Williams` Cat on a Hot Tin kryshe` (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof). In the 70 Nilsson played a few small roles in the movies, the second of which in 1977 was the last on the big screen. In 1985, Nilsson completely said goodbye to acting profession and moved to the French Riviera.
Maj-Britt Nilsson died December 19, 2006, in Cannes, at the age of 82 years.
