In 1972 he graduated from the Kuibyshev Polytechnic Institute majoring in "electronic computers".

In 1972-1974 years - working at the Kuibyshev fish factory.

From 1979-1985 years - senior engineer at the plant plug sockets in the city of Jalal-Abad.

From 1985 to 1990 - director of the plant "profile" of the city Kok Jangak.

In 1990-1991 he worked as the first secretary of the Kok-Zhangakskogo Party Committee, Chairman of the City Council.

In 1991-1992 - deputy chairman of the Jalal-Abad regional council of people`s deputies.

From 1992 to 1994 he headed the Toguz Torouzskuyu RAIDERZHADMINISTRATSIIa.

In 1994 he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Property Fund.

In 1995-1997 - the deputy, the head of the Jalal-Abad oblast state administration.

From 1997 to 2000 - the governor of Chui oblast.

December 21, 2000 to May 22, 2002 - Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan. May 22, 2002, resigned in connection with the tragic events in the south of the country on 17-18 March 2002, when, during mass riots in the south five people were killed and dozens were injured.

Since 2004, the head of the opposition People`s Movement of Kyrgyzstan (NDK).

He is married and has two sons.
