Driesch (Driesch) Hans (28/10/1867, Kreuznach - 04.16.1941, Leipzig) - German biologist, founder of the neo-vitalism. Professor of Philosophy. He was engaged in the problems of regeneration and reproduction. Based on his research of the embryonic development of an organism formulated the law, according to which the dynamics of each of the fetus depends on its place in the whole organism. He endows all living entelechy, which is regarded as the force that makes the existence and development of the organism, and which is attributed to the selection of the function of all potential paths of development. Reason, according to his ideas, as a manifestation of entelechy.
