Professor Varian wrote two textbooks that have become bestsellers - `Microeconomics. Intermediate level: Modern Podhod` (Intermediate Microeconomics), microeconomics textbook for advanced and more complex `Microeconomic analiz` (Microeconomic Analysis).
Together with Carl Shapiro (Carl Shapiro) from Berkeley in 1999, he became the author of the book `Information Rules: A Strategic Guide to network ekonomike` (Information Rules: A Strategic Guide to the Network Economy), which applies traditional economic theory to modern information technology, `Economics and information technology: Vvedenie` (The Economics of information technology: An Introduction).
