Zababakhin Evgeny was born January 16, 1917 in Moscow in the family of employees.
In 1931 he graduated from high school - seven years in Moscow.
From 1932 to 1936 he studied at the Engineering College at the factory "ball bearing".
From 1936 to 1938 he worked in the shop-automatic lathe factory "ball bearing" master, master - technician, technologist. In August 1938, he was enrolled at the Physics Department of Moscow State University. MV Lomonosov and the summer of 1941 completed three courses.
From July to September 1941 - the Komsomol platoon commander for the construction of fortifications in the area Roslavl of the Smolensk region. In September 1941 he was drafted into the Red Army and sent to Sverdlovsk to study at the Air Force Engineering Academy. NOT. Zhukovsky (VVIA).
In June 1944 he graduated with honors from the Faculty aviavooruzheniya VVIA. In October 1947, he graduated from postgraduate VVIA, received a PhD in Physics - Mathematical Sciences. Enrolled VVIA lecturer at the Department of ballistics and in combination - junior researcher at the Institute of Chemical Physics, Academy of Sciences of the USSR.
From April 1948 to April 1955 he worked in the p / 975 (now VNIIEF) in the following positions: junior researcher (1948), senior researcher (1948 - 1951), Head of Department (1951 - 1955), Deputy Chief Designer and the supervisor (1955).
In June 1953 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
Since April 1955 began to work in n / I 0215 (now VNIITF) .With April 1955 to August 1960 - Deputy Scientific Director and Head of the theoretical sector. From August 1960 to December 1984 - Scientific Director of the Institute.
He has made a significant contribution to the development of nuclear weapons the Soviet Union beginning in VNIIEF, then VNIITF, the development of nuclear explosives for peaceful use in the study of physical processes of nuclear explosion and its impact.
Basic scientific results obtained: in cumulative systems (accumulation in complex systems - "puff Zababakhin" influence on the thermal conductivity of the focus of the shock wave, the effect of viscosity, and rotation on a convergence of shells);
in the field of High Pressure Physics (equation of state of condensed matter and BB, polymorphic phase transformations);
