The American actress, winner of the "Emmy" and nominee for "Oscar" in 1945.
Eunice M. Kedens, which became known as Eve Arden ,born April 30, 1908 in the small town of Mill Valley, California in a family of Lucille and Charles Peter Kedensa, who divorced when she was a child. In 16 years, Eunice dropped out of school and vstupilu one of the troupes. In 1929 she made her debut in the cinema with a small role in the film " Music of Love", which became one of the first successful ,shot by Columbia. Her Broadway debut was held in 1934 in one of the productions of " Ziegfeld Follies ".
Her active career in film began in 1937, after the role of Eve in " Stage Door ". This role has become quite a success, after which it began to offer a new role in the movie. In later years, she appeared in such popular films,as " Girls
Zigfilda " (1941) and" Cover Girl " (1941) , with Rita Hayworth in the title role. In 1945, Arden played one of his most famous roles - Ida Corwin in " Mildred Pierce ," for which she was nominated for "Oscar" for Best Supporting Actress.
At Eve also had a successful career on the radio ,error status: 400that in 1952, Yves became an honorary member of the American Association of Education.
Arden many starred on television. She had roles in tleserialah " Witch ", " Great presentation ", " Alice " and " The Love Boat. " At the same time she continued to play on the stage, performing leading roles in productions of " Hello, Dolly ! " And " Auntie Mame "and in 1967 he was awarded the Sarah Siddons to work in Chicago theater.
In 1985, Ives published his autobiography - " The three phases of Eve. " Her contributions to the film was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6714 Hollywood Boulevard, and for his contribution to radio, it introduced in Radio Hall of Fame.
From 1949 to 1957, Yves was married to Ned Bergen. In 1952 she married Brooks West, who died in 1984. Eve gave birth to four children from Brooks.
Eve Arden died of cancer at his home in Los Angeles November 12, 1990 at the age of 82 years
