The first music teacher was the mother, who herself was a singer for him and managed to instill a love for Bruce opera. After he became a student at the Juilliard School of Music (Juilliard School of Music) in New York (New York City), where he studied with Hans Heinz (Hans Heinz),who recognized in him a real flair for French and German songs romances.
In 1962, Abel won a scholarship Fullbright (Fulbright), which allowed the young man to continue his studies in Stuttgart, Germany (Stuttgart, Germany),and improve the repertoire of German songs and oratorios under the Herman Reuter (Hermann Reutter), Laurie Fisher (Lore Fischer) and Eleanor Junker - Giesen (Elinor Junker-Giesen). Abel participated with great success in several international competitions and won a number of victories ,including first prize in 1963 in the name of Enrico Caruso Competition (Enrico Caruso Competition) in New York and Geneva International Competition (Concours International Geneve); second prize at the Mozart Competition (Mozart Wettbewerb) to Vienna (Vienna);error status: 400and early 70 - ies of the last century, when Abel gave numerous concerts in North America (Northern America) and throughout Europe (Europe), as well as a lot of recorded. He appeared as a soloist in the world premiere of `Whitsun Oratorio` composer Fritz Werner (Fritz Werner), which took place in 1971 in Heilbronn ,error status: 400. He is one of the most respected members of the international professional music fraternity `Delta Omicron`.
Bruce Abel married to a famous pianist Waltraud Poser (Waltraud Poser), which often took part in his concerts.
The discography of the artist`s recordings are of Bach cantatas under the baton of Fritz Werner ,error status: 400as well as the works of Franz Liszt (Franz Liszt) running Dzanotelli Hans (Hans Zanotelli). He also recorded songs by Schumann (Schumann) and Robert Franz (Robert Franz).
