Boyko Metodiev Borisov was born on June 13, 1959 in Bankya. His father Metodi Borisov until 1987 he worked in the Sofia city Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 1982, Boyko Borisov graduated from high school a special Ministry of Internal Affairs and received a degree in engineering, specialty "Fire prevention and safety" and the rank of lieutenant. In the same year began to work in the Sofia municipal government, first as a platoon commander, and then the company.
From 1985 to 1990 he was a professor of the Higher Institute for the training of officers and research activities Ministry of Internal Affairs.
