Prime Minister of Laos Boisson Bupphavan born June 3, 1954 in the village of Ban Tao Pun in Salavan province. Bupphavan graduated from the local school, and then continued his studies in Champasak province. After studying Bupphavan engaged in political activities by participating in the various cells of the party "People`s Revolutionary Party of Laos."
As a student in 1975 Boisson Bupphavan actively participated in an armed coup which made Pathet Lao forces - military and political force of socialist orientation in Laos.
In the period from 1986 to 1990 Boisson Bupphavan studied in the Soviet Union. Studying in the Soviet Union, Laos equated to a large increase, and on his return from Moscow Bupphavan became one of the leaders of the "People`s Revolutionary Party of Laos." He advocated cooperation with China, and many tend to believe that Bupphavan became a protege Khamtay Siphandone leading revolutionary figure in the country and the president Laosado 2006.
It was in 2006 after the victory of the "People`s Revolutionary Party of Laos" in the elections to the National Assembly of Laos Boisson Bupphavan was appointed to the post of prime minister. Previously, since 2003, Bupphavan served as deputy prime minister and chairman of the State Planning Committee of the Lao.
