The first demo tape was recorded by the group in some of the musicians in the basement for fun,and not for the purpose of promoting their music to the masses. However, the record has brought a young group contract with "Meiz Records", which issued a "Biohazard" in 1990, the debut album of New Yorkers. The album sold an impressive for anyone unknown Brooklynites circulation - 40,000 copies -and made Biohazard rising star of the New York hardcore.Despite the fact that in such a direction as hardcore, do something new is very difficult, this group failed. They were used in the hardcore rap vocals. And although in those days it looked a little wild, the band`s popularity has proven its viability.Thank Biohazard has come even to Europe, where their record is not officially published. Nevertheless, the group hoped to European fans and went to concerts overseas. This tour, especially without any support from the record company usually ends in financial disaster, but this time everything went well. Soon the band repeated the tour.And on their return the group received several offers from various record campaigns. Biohazard chose Roadrunner Records, which sent the boys to begin to act on "L.A. Foundation Forum" - a world-famous music industry seminar. Concert has made the show - business dealers a lasting impression,about the band immediately began to write a lot and soon called to serve Europe with Kreator themselves.
Next Urban Discipline album went on sale in November 1992, Biohazard and immediately became famous all over the world. As a result, the band`s music began to sound more powerful and much cleaner,but the previous drive speed and aggression on the "Urban Discipline" is clearly not enough. Nevertheless, it sold 1 million copies of the video for the song was the most Punishment chastopokazyvemym video on MTV, and the album is regarded as the most significant post 90 ,and its current popularity of New York hardcore are not in the least obliged to Biohazard.Over the next year and the beginning of 1994 the group met on the road. The group moved to a new label, Warner Bross and it recorded a new album. The third CD "State Of The World Address" was released in 1994. Significant changes did not undergo the music, however,songs are a bit faster, and between the tracks were different noises and musical inserts. The new album has surpassed all previous creations Biohazard. The song "How It Is" was recorded together with rapper September Dogg [Sen Dog] from Cypress Hill,but still the team has recorded a cover version of Black Sabbath "After Forever" song on the album that was not hit, and he came out on the legendary collection "Nativity In Black - A Tribute To Black Sabbath". Success does not contribute to stability in the ranks of the group, and soon guitarist Bobby leaves its ranks.According to his former colleagues, Billy, "We have developed mutual disappeared in different directions, and between Bobby and us." Bobby himself, however, arguedthat left it out of the group due to the fact that he expressed open dissatisfaction with songs written by Evan and Billy for the album.In 1995 Biohazard performed at the festival "Dynamo Open Airs" in the Netherlands, as headliners. The concert was attended by 150 thousand people.
The next album "Mata Leao" comes out in 1996, it differs from other somewhat greater directness and rudeness. It includes as many as 15 songs, although there is a total of 38 minutes -an unprecedented achievement for the group. The album was recorded under the supervision of the three famous producer Gerd Dave [Dave Jerden]. However, when the work on the drive was over, they decided to find a second guitarist, because they do not imagine the live performances in abridged membership.The choice fell on a musician named Rob Echeveria, who had previously defeated in mass the New York teams, including Helmet, Rest In Pieces, Straight Ahead and Pro-Pain.
