They are at this time were back in the US tour, followed by a few days occupied the studio in Seattle and recorded " live" version of its set, "Pussy Whipped".

At the end of this seven-week tour, they made a short break, after which came in the spring of 1997 to go back to Australia. This was followed by a short tour of Japan. In Tokyo, Bikini Kill played the last concert in its history. At the end of 1997 they were working on new songs, but to record the matter has not reached. In early 1998, after seven years of existence, the band broke up.
Kathleen Hanna (Kathleen Hanna) was a singer Bikini Kill, concerts which often went against the principles of his time. Males could ask to go away by the end of the hall, while the women in the front rows were distributed sheets with lyrics. These texts struck for real, not a formality, and the band`s music was powerful in itself. Kathleen was not trying to pose as a beautiful flower ,to the audience was something to see. She was known for being able to take off his shirt on stage and perform with the word "slut", written on her stomach or back. This image has always gone against the rules of show business (and so far contradicts them) , but Kathleen Hanna and Bikini Kill is not so much to sell the image as carrying the message. Bikini Kill are considered to be the main driving force of the musical phenomenon as riot grrrl. Message from Bikini Kill is the definition of riot grrrl - is a feminist statement on education and strengthening the force. This music can be called punk, but riot grrrl music is often loud response to zhenonenavisnichestvo from both men and women ,underlying social structures, such as to create a corporate rock music. The main message of riot grrrl - the words of feminist self-esteem and unity through individual support aimed at young women and girls. This message can be expressed through the loudest rock music. Although riot grrrl- rock and punk was named ,This music resembles the punk ethic for the most part "do it yourself ", which is the basis of the style, the music creates a more pure desires and emotions, rather than using a particular skill. The resulting sound - is not for everyone, but so it should be.
It should be noted that women were involved in the punk scene since the time of its foundation. In the late `70s punk rock was a sarcastic response to the commercialization of rock. Women are actively involved in the punk movement from the beginning, but groups such as the Slits, Raincoats, Au Pairs, Girls at Our Best, Modettes, Delta 5, Shop Assistants and Liliput not really supported each other. If these early women`s groups, or even the early punk itself, and can be described as something to do with feminism, then this feature can be found only in the asexual nature of punk `70s, in which the floor, for the most part, was not related to the case. In the early 90x riot grrrl simply borrowed musical bias " DIY " of punk rock. Music, perhaps having secondary importance in relation to the feminist message, however, has led to the emergence of what some musical nuggets. Bikini Kill occupied especially high position in this regard. And although the band seems to have collapsed at all ,and its participants continue musical activity in the other groups, Bikini Kill still have quite a large impact on the movement and the music, while remaining pioneers.
