Music 7 Year Bitch is a mixture of punk and hard rock, and,like many of the punk band "do it yourself" who preceded them, the girls almost did not know how to play the selected instruments.The band began to perform live in 1990, and in 1991 released their first single, "Lorna" on one side and "No Fuckin` War" & "You Smell Lonely" on the other, on Rathouse / Face the Music Records.Seven Year Bitch formed in Seattle, Washington. The name comes from the film with Marilyn Monroe`s "Seven Year Itch."

The band began to perform live in 1990, and in 1991 released their first single, "Lorna" on one side and "No Fuckin` War" & "You Smell Lonely" on the other,on Rathouse / Face The Music Records.Once Pearl Jam asked 7 Year Bitch replace them opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers on their three concerts. The girls finally began to achieve something, when tragedy struck. Shortly before the release of their debut album, guitarist Stephanie Sargent died of a heroin overdose. Their first album, Sick `em,It was released in October, with a lot of favorable response in the press. Guitarist Roisin Dunne, an old friend of the group, which has worked in the film industry in Los Angeles, was replaced by Stephanie, and 7 Year Bitch continued existence. "! IViva Zapata" - The second full disk 7 Year Bitch - a breakthrough hard rock passions.It is difficult to listen to this album, without taking into account the grieving process: shock, denial, anger, guilt, depression, and acceptance. The song "Rockabye" - a tribute to the original guitar player group Stefanie Sargent. "M.I.A." - A tribute to longtime girlfriend group Mia Zapata, singer of The Gits,whose rape and murder that took place in July of 1993, It has not yet been disclosed.
On the disc, 7 Year Bitch "IViva Zapata!" there is a certain magic to bring that to the studio albums managed to this very few bands, and it adds even more fire to the already very powerful songs. In 1994, when IViva Zapata! I was in the mixing process,Tim Sommers signed the group to the main record company Atlantic Records.
"Gata Negro" was released in 1996 under the avalanche of reviews in the press and exhausting tour. 7 Year Bitch traveled with concerts, sharing the top of the charts with bands like Hole. Roisin Dunne soon left the group, and, for a short time,it was replaced by Lisa Faye Beatty, which from the beginning it was the sound engineer of the group. 7 Year Bitch disbanded in the fall of 1997.
