Four guys from the provincial town Mandeville, in the state of Louisiana, in spite of his youth in a short time made a significant breakthrough in the world of show business. Vocalist Paul McCoy, bassist Kevin Dorr, guitarist Eric Weaver and drummer Aaron Geyner gathered under the banner of " 12 stones " in 2000. Local mandevillskaya scene was a while a bunch of cover bands, Laban other people`s things. However, our hero, this situation did not suit, and they are from the very beginning started writing his own compositions. Unlike many other teams over the years to wade through the thorns to the heights of rock ,at " 12 stones " during the formation took place rapidly.
Having played only twelve (well, how else) shows the band recorded their first demo. Record long swirled around Mandeville and soon found myself in New York. There it drew the attention of movers and shakers from the world of rock music, and the team was invited to audition. No sooner had the guys to be in New York, like all funny things started to happen with them. Kevin Doerr decided to try sushi but his stomach was unprepared, and the poor man had to spend several hours in the bathroom in an attempt to free his body from the delicious Japanese dishes. Paul McCoy went to walk on Times Square ,where he immediately stolen wallet. However, the race was not too much time for the thief, since already he had to go to the audition. Kevin at the time moved a little, but he had to act with slightly turned green snout. Despite these adventure guys played with dignity, and soon in the bag lying on the contract "Wind-up records".The session was their first album, called unpretentious " 12 stones ", the boys went to the Mecca of American rock of Los Angeles. In the studio, they met producer Jay Baumgardner, already fairly adept in their activities, working with such as the Badami "Papa Roach", "Drowning pool" and "Alien ant farm".Sessions were successful and showed that neither the provincial nor the relatively young age does not reflect on the skill and talent of the musicians. The album became an integral, good work, and many things may well claim the title of "classic". For example, such compositions like "Open Your Eyes", "Back Up","Soulfire" just could not be radio hits. Despite some aggression plaque music " 12 stones " still positive because, after listening to the text, you will understand that guys just share their emotions. The album should appeal to fans of quite such groups as the "Papa Roach", "Creed", "Nickelback" and "Sevendust".
You can also say ,that the group expects a great future, which was confirmed by the participation of vocalist Paul McCoy in the work on the disc "Evanescence" and the appearance of the whole team mandevilltsev on the soundtrack "The Scorpion King".
